Vintage 1970's Makaleka Doll Hawaii 8" Holomuu Handcrafted Tapa Mache Wide Brimmed Hat.This doll is from our trip to Kona in 1977, and her tags are in excellent condition.Stunning Makaleka doll in gorgeous, brightly colored island fabric.Her dress has a fabulous train, finished around the bottom with a closely gathered hem line.The base is white plastic with hot green satin ribbon at the base of the tapa mache.Her outfit is accented by a traditional wide-brimmed hat also made from tapa mache.In her arm is an orange lei ready to give away for any special occasion such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and graduations.Her carved tapan mache face is just beautiful.Her hat is also made of tapa mache with an intricate pink straw braid.She is adorned with an orange twisted lei, a wonderful contrast to the hot pink costume.Please see the photos to complete the description.
