Rare piece of CCCP history. Soviet Raketa / Rocket World Time watch with all the GREAT CITIES of the CCCP in Cyrillic on the bezel insert. NOT a watch made later for the tourist trade, but a real old-school mechanical manual winding watch made in the Era. Gorgeous blue / purple dial is original and unmolested. Likely made in the 1970's. Crown winding correct manual wind (legacy) movement as Soviets did not have the money / equipment to retool for the Quartz boom. Sets and winds as designed. Ticking away happily and takes a deep wind. A truly nice example. Probably the least expensive mechanical World Time watch that I have ever offered. Thanks Comrades. Gorbechov for President 2024.
