These guardian dogs, also called temple lions, always comes in a pairs and stand to the left and right of entrances. Usually, one is male and the other female. Based on research, this vase is estimated to be from the 18th to mid-19th century, displaying characteristics of the period. Handcrafted with slight imperfections. Stands at 5.25" tall.
