Numbered and signed. The plate is 8 1/2" wide and in brand new condition.From Mary Moline, Chairperson, Plate Selection Committee the Rockwell Society of America: "Scratching his head in thought, an old cobbler pauses in his work to help a very young lady in distress. The sole of her doll's shoe has torn loose, and because it is a matter of great importance, she has brought it to a person she trusts to give it serious attention. Painted in 1921." Also known as Dolly's Shoe and appeared on the cover of Literary Digest.
