Antique Egyptian bronze Ibis statue of the God Thoth, dating from the Grand Tour/Egyptian Revival periods (c. 1780s-1920s). In excellent condition. Features a verdigris patina on the bronze head, neck, and legs, deep-red resin eyes, and a hand-carved & painted wood body. The Ibis was associated with the Egyptian God Thoth, god of writing, magic, wisdom, and the moon. This statue was purchased in the early 1980s and is being sold as such.DIMENSIONS: 5.5" H x 7.25" L x 2.75" W. A rare and historical piece.
