Exceptionally hand-carved with intricate naturalistic sculpture form, foliage wrapped urn with single well basin, pierced openwork and engraved motif ornamentation. Measures 5 1/4" wide, 3" deep and 3 1/8" tall. Used from late 15th to late 19th century for transferring fire to candles and lamps.
