The piece is in excellent condition for its age and will make a fine addition to any serious Asian collection. The Luduan (甪端) is a legendary Chinese auspicious creature, also known as a mythical beast. It symbolizes wisdom, justice, and is believed to appear only during the reign of just rulers. The Luduan is often depicted as having a lion's head, a rhino horn, a dragon's body, bear paws, fish scales, and an ox tail. DIMENSIONS: 1.5" H x 1.25" W x 2" L.
