Rare antique vintage painted double-sided Brooklyn NY Bridge-Jay Street Station sign. Approximately 22” x 3 5/8”.Sold as shown, as-is, with some rust, but clear lettering.Bridge-Jay Street Station: Opened April 10, 1888, served the BMT Myrtle Avenue and BMT Lexington Avenue lines, and the BMT Fifth Avenue line until 1940. It offered free transfer to the IND Fulton Street and IND Culver lines (1944-1969). Closed October 4, 1969 due to a fire. A fascinating piece of New York transportation history.
