Antique Bentwood Dry Measure Grain Measure - Daniel Cragin 1878 – 1909 - Well Marked.Approximately 7” x 4 3/8” Circa 1878 - 1908 antique oak bentwood dry measure. Wood is in good condition. All original oak bentwood side walls, original cutout oak plank bottom, and all original nails are present. Interior bottom is stamped with maker’s mark. Has not been waxed or finished. Areas around the rim are worn away and some scratches on the sides. There are surface cracks on the bottom inside & outside, but not all the way through. Inside has some staining & residue.The Daniel Cragin Mill, known in the twenty-first century as the Frye's Measure Mill, Frye's Measure Mill went through three distinct phases of its history.
