This WWII era 1940s Movado Acvatic manual winding watch is exceptional and rare. The stainless steel w/ scarab lug case was designed by the legendary case designer François Borgel (case designer of famed Patek Philippe). The Acvatic line was first introduced in 1935 as Movado’s first water resistant wrist watch. “Acvatic” is Latin for Aqua. The decagonal case and the movement have the appropriate serial numbers. The mechanical movement is in working order. This watch has a vintage and unique linked Swedish made Rostfritt stainless steel band. Breguet-style numbers, luminous hands with sub dial gives this a military feel. Smaller 28.5mm case width excluding crown, but sits well and looks larger due to 39mm lug to lug scarab design. Very few of these are available and values range. So I am offering at a very reasonable price. Untested.
